We apply our experience observing building performance following earthquakes, our involvement in earthquake engineering research, and more than 40 years of seismic design experience to identify buildings expected to perform well during earthquakes and those that are not expected perform well. These evaluations are tailored to each project’s requirements, and can include limited reviews of record drawings, structured evaluations using industry-recognized methodologies, or detailed analytical studies. Based on these evaluations, we develop upgrade strategies to mitigate the risk of poor seismic performance and improve resilience.
